The second release from Janine Wilson, Washington's First Lady of Blues, marks out new territory for the scarlet-haired singer, as she ably expands her repertoire to include Americana, jazz, and progressive torch and twang.

Save Me From Myself finds Wilson chronicling the bitter self-examination period that marks the wake of failed romance. But Wilson isn't above spinning more than a little fire, fun, and sex appeal into her melancholy. The album's twelve tracks are anything but a downtrodden exercise in self-pity. While Wilson may be wrestling with the notion of whether she can trust her heart to know "The One," that doesn't mean she (and her fans) won't have fun while trying.
