Janine performs solo from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at this new farmer's market! The location is behind the Bunker Hill Fire Department on Rhode Island Avenue. Lots of great vendors, picnic tables and kid friendly fun!

Fete de la Musique is World Music Day, and I am excited to be a part of Georgetown's celebration of musicians worldwide! A little background.... The Fête de la Musique, also known in English as Music Day, Make Music Day, or World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on 21 June. On Music Day, citizens and residents are urged to play music outside in their neighborhoods or in public spaces and parks. Free concerts are also organized, where musicians play for fun and not for payment.

The first all-day musical celebration on the day of the summer solstice was originated by Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture of France, as well as by Maurice Fleuret; it was celebrated in Paris in 1982. Music Day later became celebrated in 120 countries around the world.

Janine and Jason Byrd perform during the Adams Morgan Porchfest! This is a huge event of which we are very excited to be a part of. Over 50,000 folks attend the last year's event and 18th Street between Columbia and Kalorama will be closed for a day of celebrating the area's giant music community, and it's a free event! Yeehaw!
